After 2 years in the making,

The secret is about to be revealed!

Ezel has already established himself as an up and coming force in the dance music world with remixes for Yoruba Records, and King Street. His debut album “Secreto” will be released in April 2010 on Ocha Records and truly is an eye opener to the hidden gems that lie in the heart & soul of this bright young songwriter, producer and DJ.

With an All-Star roster of featured guests such as Djinji Brown, Tamara Wellons, Monday Michiru, Diamond Dancer, Kia Bennett, Quetzal Guerrero and Carlos Mena, this album will sure to be ruling playlists and clubs.

You will find in “Secreto” deeply spiritual stories about love & passion, faith in God, struggles & dreams; all of them interlaced into a ribbon of the artist’s personal life experiences, spiritual growth and understanding of the way of the Yoruba, the religion of Ocha/Santeria.

It is for this very reason this album’s musicality inspires so much of the energy and vitality of sacred African and Afro-Cuban drumming that will evoke joy & happiness into the followers of the Yoruba culture.

Ezel’s background as a former church organist and later a funk/soul bandleader in his native Dominican Republic is easily perceived throughout the album. His skill on the Rhodes, leads and warm melodies all come to life through his productions.

Secreto is a true global soul statement. A wonderfully balanced collection of songs where Soul meets Caribbean vibes, Tech sounds and Jazz. And as in all the beautiful subtleties in life, “Secreto” is not here to be defined but to be experienced. Once you have, there will be no more questions.

“Secreto” will be available worldwide on April 2010 in the meantime other Ezel’s releases & remixes are available.

The Four Tops is and old school vocal quartet from the Motown era.  Funny thing is that i’ve never heard of them since now that i’ve  found the acapella of this song hiding on my computer. I couldn’t resist some experimentation that resulted in something really nice with a nu-jazz kinda feel. Give it a listen and let me know what it brings to your mind.

If you have checked this show in the past you will notice that im allways trying to convey some multi-dimensionality on the mixes and selections that i provide covering not only house or plain dance music but GOOD MUSIC in fields of my interest like Soul, Jazz and Hiphop. An affair that some cats call GLOBAL SOUL. And i like that name very much ;)

Starting this year Ezel’s Podcast will formally encompass 2 monthly hours of honest good music.1st one will be the the traditional mixed set of Dance music and 2nd will include a Soul, Jazz and world music selection. That way i feel i will have achieved beautifully balanced podcast proposal and faithful reflection of my persona.

I humbly thank you for the support you have given to this show. Now, here is the second hour of this month. Please Enjoy.

Life is givin me the oportunity to work with the very best in the game and this is a blessing that i shall be thankful all my life. I remember me talking with Frankie Feliciano at Ian Friday’s Libation Party one day in NY and he telling me that he would help me to get my name out givin me a remix shot for a new production he was about to put out with Ananda Project vocalist Heather Johnson.  Everything went fine and here i present to u one of my favorite remixes i’ve done so far.  Sweet, moody, powerful…all those things i feel when i listen to it.  Have a listen yourself  and i hope you can feel the love alive inside of you.  Enjoy
